RACING HISTORY:

A native of Corbin, KY, Barton began his racing career in 1992 at Corbin Motor Speedway.  Starting in Pure Streets, Billy quickly moved up the ranks by progressing through Super Streets and eventually Late Model Stocks.  During his racing experiences at Corbin Motor Speedway, Billy was able to win numerous Feature events, track championships and track records in addition to receiving the fan-voted Favorite Driver award.

During his 1999 and 2000 racing campaigns, Billy raced primarily at Knoxville, TN's 411 Motor Speedway where he won in only his 2nd Event.  During this time frame he gained 4 feature wins and numerous top five finishes.  In 2001, he changed racing venues and began competing in Newport, TN at Newport Raceway.  During the 2001 racing season he competed in 9 Late Model events, winning 4 in addition to 3 other top 5 finishes. 

Billy made his professional racing debut by competing in 1 American Racing Association racing series events.  Barton and Team 33 was able to finish in the top 10 in his first outing and cap off 2001 with a win in only his ARA event.

2002 was an exciting season for Billy Barton Motorsports.  By signing primary sponsorship agreements with Crown Marketing, Inc. of Nicholasville, KY he was able to step his racing program up to compete in Southern All-Stars and Sunoco Super Series in the Super Late Model divisions.  Billy and Crown Marketing endured a grueling schedule that saw him compete in  18 racing events at venues from Pensacola, FL to Columbus, OH.
